BSE National Grid Financing Program for Commercial and Industrial Businesses in the Upstate New York Area

To qualify for this program, your project must comply with all the requirements of at least one of the following National Grid energy efficiency programs: UNY Electric and Natural Gas Commercial and Industrial, Commercial Clean Heat, and Small Business Services programs.

  • UNY Electric and Natural Gas Commercial and Industrial Program: This program is designed to help businesses save energy and money by providing incentives for energy-efficient upgrades. To qualify, electric accounts must average 110 kW or higher annually, and natural gas accounts must have an annual usage of 10,000 therms or more. The subsidy cap addition for electric accounts is no more than $0.05 per kWh, and the subsidy cap addition for natural gas accounts is no more than $0.50 per therm.
  • Commercial Clean Heat Program: This program provides incentives for commercial and industrial customers to install high-efficiency heating equipment. To qualify, customers must have a National Grid natural gas account in good standing and install eligible equipment.
  • Small Business Services Program: This program provides free energy assessments, technical assistance, and financial incentives to help small businesses save energy and money. To qualify, businesses must have an average monthly demand of less than 100 kW and an annual usage of less than 100,000 kWh.
  • Electric accounts must average 110 kW or higher annually, and subsidy cap addition of no more than $0.05 per kWh. Natural gas subsidy cap addition of no more than $0.50 per therm.
