Big Shine Energy is now an approved trade ally for New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program. According to the NJCEP, In order to qualify for incentives within the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Program, work must be completed by one of the certified Home Performance Contractors listed in the NJCEP Trade Ally Database. Big Shine Energy has already completed numerous lighting retrofits for various businesses and organizations in New Jersey to help reduce energy consumption and carbon footprint. In 2011 NJ accounted for 2.04% (12.45 metric tons) of the total US CO2 emissions per capita based on information gathered by the US Environmental Protection Agency and the US Energy Information Administration. That is 110 million metric tons of CO2 emissions annually.
New Jersey serves the imports sector largely for the North East and is estimated to have 690 vehicles per 1,000 people contributing a large amount of CO2 in the state. New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program is a statewide program that offers financial incentives, programs and services for New Jersey residents, business owners and local governments to help them save energy, money and the environment. Big Shine Energy is on track to assist thousands of businesses with incentive program applications throughout the entire process by switching to LED lighting.
